Haven is the herbal, homesteading, gardening, and foraging outreach of Shadow Cross Refuge.
'Tis where soil meets soul, and provision becomes sacred.

We don’t just grow balm—we teach it, tend it, and share it.

Through herbal lessons, community garden outreach, and homestead skill-building, we offer practical healing rooted in grace. We forage with reverence. We plant with purpose. We gather with joy.

This is ministry through moss and mercy. Through compost and compassion. Through rooted grace.

Whether you’re planting your first seed, brewing your first tea, or returning to the land after exile—there’s room for you here.

Refuge Dispatch: Fall '25

Greetings from the Shadowlands! October has seen the start of Shadow Cross Refuge sinking its roots back into the ground, with the setting up of our office, an 8 X 12? space, with a storage closet perfect for the Antioch Backpacks.  We were blessed to already have a small daybed, desk, and a few spare shelves to go into the office.  We lack a few lamps, and then it will be a set space. It is our prayer that from here we will grow, and once on our permanent site, expand the outreaches.

  Standing in the Darkness You said the dark times would come... That persecution, hatred, and violence would be against us. You said the World would not understand us. You called us to walk in Your steps... That suffering would be part of our lot... But You promised Your peace would go with us. You said we would be Your lights in the darkness. That we would shine the Good News to the ends of the World... That the enemy would not get to rejoice if we fall... Because you are our Light. So to You, Jesus, we cry in these darkened times... Be our Light, and help us to shine for You, This Day, this Night, and Evermore.
