Shadow Cross Refuge

  Standing in the Darkness You said the dark times would come... That persecution, hatred, and violence would be against us. You said the World would not understand us. You called us to walk in Your steps... That suffering would be part of our lot... But You promised Your peace would go with us. You said we would be Your lights in the darkness. That we would shine the Good News to the ends of the World... That the enemy would not get to rejoice if we fall... Because you are our Light. So to You, Jesus, we cry in these darkened times... Be our Light, and help us to shine for You, This Day, this Night, and Evermore.

"A voice cries, ' In the wilderness, prepare the way of the Lord;  In the desert, prepare a pathway for the Lord .'" ~ Isaiah 40:3 After many journeys, across prairies, over desert mesas and arroyos, into thick smoky mountain woodlands,  the reality of the callings remains... The winds of Dine' Bikeyah call, no matter how many visits it takes us to get there. The shadowlands with its outcasts and subcultures still need tending... Thus Shadow Cross Refuge is born, here on our Foxtrail Hollow Ranch... Where a Western Cowboy and a Western Goth tend to God's creation,  and seek to help our brothers and sisters along the trail.
